I am thrilled to join the Norton & Elaine Sarnoff Center for Jewish Genetics as its 2022 Lewis Summer Intern. I am a rising junior at the University of Iowa studying Human Physiology with minors in art and cinema. Though I’m undecided on a specific career path, I am interested in healthcare and cherish any experience that can teach me more about the field. In my free time, I love to stay active by walking my dog, playing sports, painting and hanging out with friends & family.
I grew up in Highland Park and graduated from Highland Park High School. Connecting to the Chicago community is extremely important to me. While I am at school, connecting to the Iowa City community is just as important to me. I am involved with Iowa Hillel and am a pediatric endocrinology research assistant at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. At home, I volunteer at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. The Sarnoff Center is a perfect opportunity to help me combine my two interests of helping the Chicago and Jewish community while being rooted in science through genetic counseling. I am looking forward to this summer and all that I can learn from the Sarnoff Center.
