Eve Reingold Kleinerman, JD, is the Executive Director of the Norton & Elaine Sarnoff Center for Jewish Genetics. Prior to joining the Sarnoff Center in 2023, Eve was the Illinois Regional Director for Sharsheret, bringing breast and ovarian cancer awareness programming to the forefront of the Illinois Jewish communities. Eve brings her community education and cancer genetics experience to her work. Outside of work, you can find Eve spending time with her family or scoping out new running paths. Scott M. Weissman, MS, CGC, serves as the Sarnoff Center’s Genetic Counselor. In this role, he educates the Jewish community on genetics and co-coordinates the Sarnoff Center’s carrier screening program. Scott graduated with a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from Northwestern University in 2002 and has been practicing in adult genetics in the Chicago area ever since. In 2016, Scott started his private practice, Chicago Genetic Consultants, LLC. Outside of work, he enjoys watching going to Cubs games, listening to live music, and spending time with his family. Sydney Cohen, MPH, serves as a Senior Associate at the Sarnoff Center. In this role, she promotes health education and community outreach efforts. Prior to joining the team in 2023, Sydney was working at EZRA Multi-Service Center in the JUF Uptown Café as their Health and Nutrition Program Associate. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Public Health degrees from The University of Pennsylvania. Outside of work, Sydney enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring Chicago neighborhoods. Judah Gavant serves as the Sarnoff Center’s Program Coordinator. In this role, he supports the Sarnoff Center’s outreach and education efforts by coordinating community events, educational programs, and communications. Prior to joining the team in 2024, Judah worked in JUF’s Legacies and Endowments department as an administrator for Donor Advised Funds and Supporting Foundations. After graduating from Yeshiva University in 2017, Judah worked for Yachad, The National Jewish Council for Disabilities, as well as Sy Syms School of Business before moving to Chicago together with his husband in 2020. A theater aficionado, Judah can often be found humming tunes from his favorite Broadway musicals and catching up on all the latest Broadway news. You can reach Judah at JudahGavant@juf.org.

Chase Dost serves as the Sarnoff Center’s Administrative Assistant. In this role, he assists the team by supporting their daily work and managing short- and long-term projects. Prior to joining the team in 2023, Chase was Marketing Manager at Shalom Orlando and freelance writer for Glitter Sparkle LLC. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies with a concentration in Judaism from the College of William & Mary and a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.
