On Tuesday, June 30, 2026 the Sarnoff Center, in partnership with Chicago Loop Synagogue, hosted an informative webinar, Know Your Genes, Protect Your Future: Hereditary Cancer Testing Explained. Led by genetic counselor Scott M. Weissman, the conversation introduced community members to the Sarnoff Center’s new Hereditary Cancer Testing Program and explored how genetic testing can help individuals better understand their cancer risks. Participants learned how hereditary cancer testing can support earlier detection, guide prevention and treatment decisions, and provide important information for family members across generations.
